Nice to meet you!
I’m Tamino and I welcome you to my world of design.
CERN - European Organisation for Nuclear Research
I am a mechanical & industrial designer, an aspiring engineer and currently working at CERN, the European Organisation for Nuclear Research. (Since May 2022)
LHC-CMS
Large Hadron Collider - CMS experiment
Some upgrades I worked on are the CMS End-Caps, two large 200 ton each steel structures for the upcoming HL-LHC upgrade.
Antimatter, matters.
Different parts of projects within the Antimatter Facility at CERN which were focus of my work:
PUMA - Trap Can
A movable installation which is able to maintain Anti-Protons in an ultra high vacuum environment. This is worlds first movable Anti-Proton system designed to bring the anti particles from one experiment to another.
ALPHA Solenoid
A solenoid magnet which is able to trap the antimatter in a confined space within vacuum. The magnet is designed to keep the anti particles from annihilating with regular matter.
Di-Pole & Quadrupole Magnets
The Di-Pole magnets are a completely new magnet installation for the extraction of the Anti-Protons right after the particle beam collides with the titanium targets. The Di-pole is responsible for capturing the Anti-Protons and lead them ahead into the ELENA deceleration ring while the other particles from the collision venture further into a sort of dumb. This area is highly radioactive which is quite a challenge creating the new design for the Di-Pole and Quadupole electro magnets.
The Di-Pole is the largest assembly I created and worked on. It contains several 100 parts across different subassemblies.
Building the future!
I love science, technology, electric cars and Space exploration.
I’m enthusiastically following the latest develeopments of the Starship in Boca Chica TX and the James Webb Telescope.
I’m inspired by awesome personalities and inventions, star gazing fuels my creativity.
